What we do
Four pillars. One NRI financial strategy.
India's regulatory framework for non-residents is layered: FEMA, IT Act, RBI, SEBI, and your host-country tax authority all intersect. We navigate every layer so you don't have to.

Explore01 / Capital Markets
Invest in India's markets, from any country.
NRIs can participate fully in India's capital markets, but each asset class has its own route and account requirement. We handle account setup, regulatory filings, and ongoing portfolio management.
Via a account linked to your or account. Repatriable gains when invested through NRE-PIS. Same brokerage, same market access.
Most Indian AMCs accept NRI investments directly. Note: US and Canadian NRIs face restrictions at many AMCs due to FATCA/FBAR compliance, we identify which funds are open and structure the investment correctly.
(min. βΉ50 lakh) and (min. βΉ1 crore), available to NRIs with the right account structure and SEBI-registered manager.
Government securities, corporate bonds, and tax-free infrastructure bonds, accessible via NRE/NRO. Interest on NRE deposits is fully exempt from Indian tax.
NRIs can build India retirement corpus through NPS Tier I (tax-deductible) and Tier II (flexible). Managed via NRE/NRO and linked to Indian PAN. Corpus fully repatriable on exit.
Capital gains tax for NRIs (FY 2024β25 onwards)
Rates as per Finance Act 2024. Surcharge and cess apply. DTAA may reduce effective rates.
02 / Income Tax & DTAA
Your India tax liability doesn't disappear when you leave.
India taxes India-sourced income for NRIs. The good news: if your host country has a with India, you're often shielded from double taxation, but only if you file correctly and claim the benefit.
Determine your residential status
India's tax obligation for an NRI starts with residential status under the IT Act, not passport status. An individual who spends less than 182 days in India in a financial year (with adjustments under the 60-day rule) qualifies as an . Getting this wrong is the single most common and expensive mistake.
Understand what's taxable in India
As an NRI, only income received or accrued in India is taxable here. This includes: rental income from Indian property, capital gains on Indian assets, interest from NRO accounts, dividends from Indian companies, and professional fees for services rendered in India.
Claim your DTAA benefit
India has signed treaties with 96 countries. UAE NRIs: India-UAE treaty covers most income types. US NRIs: the India-US DTAA has specific provisions for dividends, royalties, and pensions. To claim the benefit, you must file a Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) and Form 10F with the Indian payer before TDS is deducted.
File your ITR, even if below threshold
Filing is mandatory if your India income exceeds βΉ2.5 lakh. But we recommend filing even if below that, to: reclaim deducted on NRO interest (30%+), establish clean income records for property transactions, and maintain loan eligibility at Indian banks.
TDS, where NRIs overpay
Banks deduct TDS at 30%+ on NRO FD interest (vs 10% for residents). Buyers deduct 20-22.66% TDS on property sale proceeds. Most NRIs leave this on the table. We ensure the right certificates are filed to minimise withholding and reclaim the surplus via ITR.
Advance tax planning
If your India tax liability exceeds βΉ10,000, advance tax instalments are mandatory. For NRIs with rental income, capital gains, or business income in India, we build a forward-looking tax calendar aligned to the March 15 deadline, avoiding interest under sections 234B and 234C.
03 / NRI Accounts
Three account types. Very different rules.
Which account you use for which purpose determines your tax exposure and your ability to move money out of India. Most NRIs under-utilise NRE and misuse NRO.

- CurrencyUSD, GBP, EUR, AED, CAD, AUD
- Source of fundsForeign earnings
- RepatriabilityFully repatriable
- Interest (India tax)Exempt

Eliminates forex risk entirely. Ideal for UAE/US/UK-based NRIs who want Indian bank rates without INR exposure. Interest is tax-free in India.
Repatriating money from India
NRO funds require Form 15CA (self-declaration) and Form 15CB (CA certificate) for transfers above βΉ5 lakh. The $1M annual cap applies across all NRO transfers. NRE funds have no cap or forms required. We manage the full 15CA/CB process, most banks make this unnecessarily complex.
04 / Real Estate
Property in India. Know the FEMA lines before you sign.
NRIs can own Indian property: but not all types, and the tax and repatriation rules at exit are complex. We advise before purchase, during ownership, and on exit.
NRIs can purchase
- Residential properties (apartments, villas)
- Commercial properties (offices, retail)
- Under-construction flats (builder projects)
- Properties through inheritance
- As many properties as desired (no RBI limit)
Restricted under FEMA
- Agricultural land
- Plantation property
- Farm houses
- Exception: through inheritance or gift from a resident
Payment routes
Purchase must be funded from NRE/NRO/FCNR accounts or via inward foreign remittance. You cannot pay in travellers' cheques or foreign currency notes.
TDS on sale (for the buyer)
When an NRI sells property, the buyer must deduct 20-22.66% TDS on the full sale value (not just gains). We file the right certificates in advance to reduce this to actual tax liability.
Repatriation of sale proceeds
From NRE-funded purchase: fully repatriable (up to 2 properties). From NRO: capped at $1M/year. We structure the account trail from Day 1 to ensure clean repatriation at exit.
Power of Attorney
Most NRIs buy remotely. A properly drafted, notarised and apostilled PoA allows a trusted person to register and manage the property in India. We draft PoAs that are bank and registrar accepted.
05 / Who this is for
Every NRI market has its own wrinkle.
India's tax treaties, banking rules, and investment restrictions interact differently depending on your host country. We know the key pressure points by region.
